Our Mission

At Collekt, our mission is to create a world where collecting art is fun, easy, and hassle-free. All relevant details, images, and notes on every item in your collection should be right there at your fingertips, able to be accessed from anywhere in the world. Far too often, an art collection is passed down through generations with no associated information: no provenance, no estimated value, no details whatsoever. We want to end those days and finally bring art collecting into the future, making sure the beautiful personal details of art are never lost or forgotten.

What Do We Do?

To accomplish our mission, we have developed an app that allows you to securely and privately index, organize, and grow your collection – all in one place. The app is designed to be simple, sleek and powerful, allowing users to record any and all relevant details such as artist, literature, provenance and value. Who Are We?

Collekt is comprised of a team of passionate individuals who love both technology and art. Our co-founder, Ainsley Heffel, graduated USD with honours in Art History and now works at Heffel Fine Art Auction House in Vancouver, Canada. Having grown up surrounded by artists and collectors alike, and having worked in the field for over 3 years, Ainsley brings extensive experience and knowledge of the art industry to the Collekt team. Our other co-founder, David Begert, graduated from USC with a degree in Computational Neuroscience, and now works as a Machine Learning Engineer in Vancouver. Having worked in a cutting edge AI company for over 3 years, David brings expertise to the underlying Collekt technologies and an understanding of the new digital era of the art industry.
